The importance of this vast Asian market ,which is right on Instra Corporation’s doorstep, represents a key business opportunity for ccTLD’s including Hong Kong, China, Japan, India, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and Australasia, as the explosion of digital brand services such as Domain Names continues to surge throughout the world.
Instra Corporation’s CEO, Tony Lentino comments, “Just take a look at the potential growth that the Asian region offers. .EU Accredited
10th August 2005
Africa Registry, as part of the Instra Corporation, is now an Accredited Registrar for the European Domain ‘.eu’
We are pleased to announce that Instra Corporation has recently been appointed as an officially accredited Registrar by EURid, the ‘.eu’ Registry. We are now ready to accept applications for ‘.eu’ domain names.
Those of you who have already submitted your pre-registrations to us will shortly be receiving an individual e-mail to ask you to confirm your earlier request. As you may already know, some form of formal link with Europe is required in order to obtain an ‘.eu’ domain. This can either be a company registered in any of the 25 European Member States, or the applicant can be a formal EU resident.
At the same time, applicants with certain prior rights, for example a specific company name, or Trademark registered any where in the European Union, can apply for a priority status during the two ‘Sunrise’ periods, each lasting 2 months. This is before the doors open for all applications for ‘.eu’ Registration.
International customers that do not meet this requirement may still apply, by registering a UK Limited company in addition to their domain name. This provides a legal European presence and will be sufficient to register your .EU domain name during sunrise phase 2.
